Just bumped headlong into Garance Dore as she was exiting the elevator into the Maiyet Showroom and I was leaving to grab a snack. If you didn’t know she is one of my style idols. Chic, tomboy ease with a bit of sass. She’s wonderful.

Hello friends,

If you were hoping for a coupon code from us today you won’t find one. For us Memorial Day isn’t about sales and deep discounts. We don’t define it as a reason to go shopping at the mall or online. Nothing feels less like a day of reflection than pushing past bustling shoppers to get to the checkout and stand in line for hours. We all know that feeling. We are bombarded with sales and advertisements every day of our lives. But on this day we pause and acknowledge Americans who fought for our freedom and lost their life to advocate and defend that cause.

At Tradlands we value integrity and authenticity. Today we remember the soldiers who have lost their lives to make an impact on ours. We think about those we care about. It is a great day to meet with friends and family. Attend a barbecue, play games, and have fun. Say hello to a stranger. Offer help to someone who needs it. Tell the person you love the most why they are special to you. Reflect on why you are grateful for your freedom.

And connect. If you like this message, feel free to contribute: tweet it, share on Facebook, or forward via email. Continue this conversation and connect with the world.

Thank you for listening. If you have any thoughts or want to say hello to us please leave a comment below. We would love to hear from you.

Have a happy and healthy Memorial Day.

With love,

Sadie + Jeremy

A week late, but still … word.
